Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that defies conventional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of prohibited rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine cult.
The questline concentrates on "bizarre tests and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Metamorphoses
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a striking moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content
Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana together with numerous objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-inspired attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe
- Exclusive weapons

Newest Free Story Update
This patch also introduces the game's third complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous adventure pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange characteristic abilities: Naoe reveals a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Enigma" also features a fresh environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
